GetREAL provides healing and guidance, cultivates healthy and life-long relationships, and transforms trauma into hope as each individual realizes their potential to become productive members of society.

Havana Nights 2026
Join us on Friday, October 16th at the U.S. Marshals Museum for Havana Nights, an unforgettable evening benefiting GetREAL!
Enjoy great food, drinks, live and silent auctions, and a night of fun — all while helping provide safe housing, guidance, resources, and support for young adults aging out of foster care.

VOLUNTEER
We’re looking for compassionate individuals to mentor young adults transitioning out of foster care. As a mentor, you’ll provide guidance, encouragement, and support that can make a lasting impact on their journey to independence.

A PROGRAM FOR YOUNG ADULTS
Our GetREAL program helps young adults become independent and one of those skills includes receiving their driver’s license! Before the program, many of our young adults don’t have a valid driver’s license, car insurance or a reliable vehicle. We work with them on budgeting for vehicle payments, being legal on the road and becoming independent.

What is GetREAL?
GetREAL is a transitional living and life skills program for young adults ages 18–21 aging out of foster care.
How does GetREAL help young adults?
We provide safe housing, one-on-one life coaching, education and employment support, life skills training, and connection to community resources.
How can I support GetREAL?
You can donate financially, shop our Amazon Wishlist, become a mentor, volunteer, attend events, or partner with us as a business or organization.
How much time does mentoring require?
Mentoring is flexible and designed to fit your schedule. Most mentors spend a few hours per month connecting with a young adult.
Where does my donation go?
Donations support wraparound services like transportation, program supplies, life skills programming, social activities, birthdays, and furniture needs. Gifts can also be designated to a specific area or need.
